I'm in love with the middle east. Where else could you buy a Jean Paul Gaultier jeans cheaper than Jeans West in Australia. All of the spring sales are on in Bahrain meaning a 50% to 70% off. Yay
Otherwise we're still working out the logistics of our move. At the moment we're living in Bahrain during the weekend and Ras Tanura during the week. At the moment we're haggling down furniture removalists to get a good price. I'll be buggered if I'm going to pay the 13000 rialls (about 41/2 grand) that four winds want. I'm thinking of taxiing all of our stuff over in a suburban if it comes to that.
However, this last weekend we managed to successfully negotiate the repairs of the last things of our apartment and are getting some curtains done. We've also managed to get our couch delivered finally. So we've at least got something to sit on!
I'm still battling with visa issues but as with all things here, its who you know and I've met the right person so all that should be sorted (hopefully) by the end of next week. AJ's off on holiday from the 20th so we're off to Thailand for a few weeks to see Anja which would be a welcome chill out. Its been so hectic I've not been able to think straight this last month.
So anyways, I've also taken a ton of photos of Saudi and Bahrain so I'll post them when I get time over the next few days.
